K350,000 Centurion Darts Trophy launched

The 2015 Centurion Guest House Regional Trophy for darts has been launched to the tune of K350,000 in Lilongwe.

Chairperson of the Lilongwe and Districts Darts League (LDDL) Joe Zangazanga said during the Launching ceremony on Saturday, that the sponsorship will encourage more teams in the region to join and compete for the trophy.

“This is a welcome development done by the management of the Centurion. We would like to assure you on behalf of the league that we will continue to represent you responsibly,” he said.

He therefore appealed to other sponsors to emulate Centurion’s gesture by increasing the amount to allow more teams to join the competition.

Centurion’s Managing Director  Amos Tizora expressed satisfaction over the teams representation for the past two years they  sponsored the league.

“As a league, you represented us responsibly and we look forward to yet another successful 2015 darts season which we are sponsoring,” he said.

Eight teams competing for the trophy include MDF Engineers, Hazards, Blue Eagles, Black Arrows, MAFCO, Capital Glass, KB Snipers and Combat Battalion.

The finals of the Cup will be held in October.
