“We are not a threat to the administration of the Municipality as some may think. On behalf of the council we urge all workers at the assembly to take councillors as people who have come to assist in the development of our Municipality,” he said.

“For the municipality to succeed in development, there is need for oneness and cooperation among councillors, administrators and the people of Luchenza at large,” he explained.

Kaliwo further said in his two and half years he will promote infrastructure development in the Municipality.

Luchenza Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Abubakar Nkhoma said apart from implementation of development activities the coming in of councillors will also help in the implementation of some legal issues which were not implemented due to the absence of councillors.
