Kananji upbeat Bullets can catch Wanderers: Malawi TNM Super League
Nyasa Big Bullets assistant coach Elijah Kananji believes the Peoples Team have what it takes to close the gap on Be Forward Wanderers after guiding Bullets to a 1-0 victory on Sunday against Moyale Barracks at MDC Stadium.
Bullets scored their lone goal through Chiukepo Msowoya in a match delayed for 30 minutes,as the visitors accused Bullets fans of manhandling their team doctor.
The Peoples Team have 44 points. There is a difference of six points against Wanderers who are on the summit table with 50 points.
Kananji insists they are ready to mount a title challenge.
Although Kananji admitted that the league is difficult to win, he was confident Bullets would close the gap further on the Nomads.
“We are going to close the gap and we will fight on until the end of the league,” said Kananji.
Bullets next assignment is against Blue Eagles at MDC Stadium, while Moyale has to face Wanderers in Mzuzu.
