Kanyenda hails Nomads for title charge: Malawi TNM Super League
Mighty Be Forward Wanderers veteran striker Esau Kanyenda has hailed the performance of his teammates after a convincing 2-0 victory over Mafco at Balaka Stadium on Saturday to keep a tight grip on the TNM Super League summit.





Kanyenda produced a scintillating performance to enhance his reputation as being one of the best strikers to have emerged in Malawian football.
He scored the second goal that helped his side collecting maximum points to extend their lead with a six points gap to 44 against second placed Silver Strikers who have 38 points and Nyasa Big Bullets also with 38 points..
This was Kanyenda’s third goal since joining the Nomads from Polokwane City.
“I am so thankful to God for my third goal and our victory. It was because of team work and we are looking forward to our next two games [In Lilongwe against Silver and Blue Eagles” Kanyenda told reporters.
The former Lokomotive Moscow, Jomo Cosmos and Rostov striker said they are not afraid of any team.
“I do not see any team stopping us because as I said, we have experienced players and young stars who have the hunger of victory,” said Kanyenda.
Kanyenda said the result against Mafco had given them confidence to win the championship.
