Limbe CCAP donates to Koche Hospital in Mangochi

Limbe Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) on Saturday donated items worth K1 million to Koche Hospital in Mangochi District.

Speaking in an interviewLimbe C.C.A.P Social Welfare Chairperson Spencer Zinyemba said they decided to donate the items in order to ease the pressure the hospital faces due to lack of other things.

“We know the hospital need a lot of things for the patients to get better soon and live a healthy life. We also wanted to encouraged the patients spiritually,” Zinyemba said.

Patients in the maternity ward, male ward and children’s ward received laundry and bathing soap, jelly, sugar, wrappers, clothes and an envelope containing K5, 000 each whilst mops, pails, buckets, laundry soap, brushes and magic touches were donated to the hospital.

Chief Clinical Officer for the hospital Esau Munthali thanked Limbe CCAP for the kind and timely gesture.

He said it was the first time the hospital has received such kind of items.

“Limbe CCAP has gone a step ahead and we are really thankful. It is the first time patients receive item with cash on top,” he said

He further said the items will help improve the hospital’s hygiene thereby preventing other communicable diseases among the patients and health workers.
