Head of Malawi Electoral Support Network (Mesn), Steven Duwa has been re-elected as Southern African Development Community Election Support Network (Sadc-ESN) as its board chairperson at its elective annual general meeting (AGM).
Duwa was the only one who retained his position in the board during he elections took place on Thursday and 14 Sadc countries participated in the AGM.
He said his re-election only proves that “countries have confidence in our handling of electoral issues.”
The Cordinationg assembly for Non-Governmental organisations (Cango) of Swaziland was appointed vice
chairperson while the National Elections Monitoring Committee (KMF/CNOE) of Madagscar was elected treasurer unopposed.
The elections were conducted according to Sadc-ESN constitutional guidelines by an independent elections committee appointed by the board.
