Malawi lose to Zambia’s Shepolopolo in friendly

Malawi national women football team on Friday lost 2-3 to ‘Shepolopolo’ of Zambia  in  friendly match played at Police’s Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe on Friday.

Shepolopolo opened the score sheet in 27 minutes through striker Noria Sosala.

Temwa Chawinga cancelled the lead lasted in only three minutes to the excitement the partisan home supporters.

However, Zambia took a 2-1 lead into the half time break after Barbra Banda’s 38th minute goal.

Chawinga appeared again on scoring sheet for another equaliser on the hour mark.

Banda scored the winner nine minutes away from regulation time to ensure that her team’s journey back to Zambia would be joyous.
