The University of Malawi’s Polytechnic Mechanical Engineer graduate said in separate interview that it was a challenge for him to achieve the arts Masters degrees with his strong background in sciences.

“Generally I work with figures so studying arts has always been a challenge for me,” he said.

Athletics Association of Malawi (AAM) President, Godfrey Phiri, congratulated Kanjala for his educational achievements which he noted would enhance his sports administration.

“Congratulations Mr President. AAM is proud of you,” Phiri said.

He said the MOC boss was a humble man who has managed to bring peace and order to the association, which was never short of controversies before he took the mantle two years ago following the death of Floriano Massah.

“We used to have unnecessary fights at MOC before he took over because he believes in dialogue and consulting affiliates and other stakeholders,” he observed.

Kanjala has embarked on a number of projects for the nation to embrace a culture of Olympic education in Malawi.

Among others, the establishment of Olympic Education Commission, revamped the Media Commission, establishment of the Marketing Commission and enforcing the operation of the association’s website.
