Malawi Queens in K18mil budget shortfall
Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) President Rose Chinunda has admitted her association is under panic due to shortage of funds ahead of the Fast5 World Netball Championship to take place on 28th and 29th October at Hisense Arena in Melbourne, Austraria.
Chinunda has revealed that te body is having a shortfall of about K18 million from their K35 million budget.
Only few companies have come out to assist the Queens and that includes Old mutual who few weeks donated K500,000, Airtel Money who donated K14.4 million and Unicaf University which assisted the needy queens with K700,000.00.
This prompted NAM to plead for assistance from other well wishers but no company including the government has shown interest to assist.
