Football Association of Malawi (FAM) General Secretary Suzgo Nyirenda said the match would be played at National Stadium on Saturday.

The team is expected to return home on Sunday after the game. The game was initially scheduled for October 24 but Tanzania Football Association cancelled at the eleventh after getting instructions from the government in the wake of the General Elections held on October 25.

Tanzania Football Federation also gave FAM an option to reconsider the game played in Dare-es-Salaam not Civo Stadium as earlier arranged.

The national team will bounce back into action after two years in hibernation which was necessitated by the team’s poor performance in regional competition.

The team has got new faces with most of the old-guards sidelined for new blood with only Linda Kasenda as the last man standing form the veteran players.

FAM executive member Othaniel is the leader of delegation with National Women’s Football League chairperson Siveria Chalira as logistics manager, General Secretary Catherine Chikandula is the team manageress.
