Malawian features in a film in UK
Malawi’s actress Angella Ching’amba has a starred in an upcoming movie ‘Duped’ to be released soon in the United Kingdom.
In the movie, Ching’amba who is the former Nazikambe theatre group member and acted a role as Lady Macbeth in one of William Shakespeare’s most revered play, Macbeth, but was fondly known on the local drama scene as Mayi Shumba for her role on renowned radio soap is a leading actress in the film.
The film was written by Zimbabwean filmmaker Genius Mhazo and Malawi’s filmmaker and writer cum columnist Peter Makossah directed the movie.
In the movie, a woman played by Ching’amba is duped by crooks who promise her a fortune out of her money which was given to her by her relative to pay rent.The story borders on greed and the zeal to rip where one haven’t sown.
The movie is set to be released soon. This is just a sneak-peak of the movie.
