Malawian girl who died in UK to be repatriated

The body of a Malawian girl Gloria Chipeta who died in UK is due to be flown into Malawi for burial and the family have thanked all people who have responded to the appeal for support.

Chipeta, 30, died suddenly at Castle Hill Hospital in Hull City on December 30, 2011.

“We are very grateful for the condolence messages, encouragement and financial assistance following the appeal. These are very difficult times in our family but the love that we have received has been comforting. May God bless and reward you accordingly,” said Mrs Precious Mkandawire.

Chipeta: To be buried in Malawi

The family says people will pay their last respects to the deceased on Tuesday 10th January 2012 from 2pm at St Nicholas Church, Hessle High Road, Hull, HU4 6SA

The body leaves UK on Wednesday, arriving at Chileka Airport on Saturday morning.

Burial will take place at HHI cemetery in Blantyre.
