Malawian woman shot dead in South Africa
A Malawian woman in her 30’s was on Monday shot dead in Rustenburg, South Africa by an Asian.
The victim is identified as Memory Chisanga from Ntchesi township in the Capital Lilongwe .
According reports, Chisanga was shot by an Indian on Monday evening when she was throwing stones at his shop.
Police and relatives confirmed the developments but could not give further information saying the issue is under investigation.
“We have just been informed that she was gunned down by an Indian after she was throwing stones on his shop we are about to travel to Rustenburg to find out the actual truth,” said one of the relatives.
However it is reported that the Indian has not been arrested or charged with any crime.
Asked to comment on the issue police said they are now following a definite line of inquiry in their investigation.
The woman is aid to have been mentally unstable.
Another Malawian corroborated the story described the shooting as cold-blooded murder and says it seems it was an intentional murder because Chisanga could be noticed that she was abnormal.
