In the story we published on textile manufacturer Mapeto David White Head as part of Malawi Revenue Authority’s investigations into suspicions of duty evasion and/or under declaration. Mapeto Wholesalers categorically states that the tax collector returned all goods it seized from the company.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience this has caused and subsequently retract the story and apologize to Mapeto Wholesalers for any distress this may have caused to the company.
