Moyale appoints Temwa Msuku as its new head coach

Former MAFCO coach, Temwa Msuku, has been appointed as head coach of Moyale FC.

Msuku will take over from Nicolus Mhango who is currently carrying out a number of military assignments for the Malawi Defence Force.

The team at first replaced Mhango with Themba Mtontholo as a caretaker coach.

Army Sports Development Officer John Kaputa who also coaches Malawi under 17 junior team confirmed Msuku’s appointment on Friday.

“It is true that Temwa Msuku is now the head coach of Moyale Barracks and his first assignment is against Escom United on Saturday,” Kaputa told Nyasa Times.

Kaputa said the decision has been reached based on several recommendations from MDF officials.

He said he is optimistic that the coach will bring to the club positive results though it is difficult to adapt to a new team as a coach.

“It takes time for a coach to get used to the type of football a team plays but we hope he will do a good job that all the people will be able to appreciate” Kaputa said.

Kaputa said in Msuku, Moyale has a coach with significant experience at the highest level of football, who can come in and immediately help deliver the club’s objectives.
