Helen Buluma: DPPN candidate seeking to outs UTM’s Chidanti Malunga in Nsanje South West

Mpinganjira made the remarks on Wednesday at Dinde Primary School in South West constituency in the district where he addressed a political rally.

“I am so proud to tell you that the government of Malawi under the leadership of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has finally made his promise cone true by commencing the building of Nsanje-Marka road, this is what the people of Nsanje have been looking for.

“I urge you therefore that you should vote for a DPP candidate Helen Buluma whose initiative has made the construction of this road materialise, and I hope you are not ready to lose such a candidate,” said Mpinganjira.

Mpinganjira dismissed the assertions that government was building the road as a bait to woo support for the ruling DPP, saying the project will continue and all processes have been completed.

“I am the chairperson for Roads Authority myself and there criterion used to give a particular road specific kilometres, but for the Nsanje-Marka road it will be completed in the given 18 months period,” said Mpinganjira, a firebrand politician and orator.

In her remarks, DPP aspirant for Nsanje South West Helen Buluma a University of Malawi graduate who also pursued  further academic studies in England, said she was pleased that after asking government to consider the completion of Nsanje-Marka road, it positively responded and that will inspire people to vote.

“This very act of completing building this road is an assurance already that this government is committed to develop our area and this complements the projects the DPP government started initiating in the past, in fact people will vote for me because we’re championing same cause,” said Buluma.

Among her priority areas if voted as an MP, Buluma wishes to her constituency to have access to clean piped water, improved schools, job opportunities for the youth and access to food.

Buluma is contesting against the incumbent Chidanti Malunga of UTM and two others, an independent and MCP candidates.

  1. Wilson, if you want a good example of an opportunist then it is Mia. how many parties has he been to? How he ditched DPP after Bingu’s death and the idiot never attended the funeral.
There is no good leadership qualities in Chakwera either. Before he became the leader of Assemblies of God, the church was equally balanced between the rural and urban areas. This was the case because of Chakwera’s predecessors, namely the late Rev Bomba and the late Rev Chapola, may their souls continue to rest in peace. When Chakwera took over leadership of the church, the church became urban tilted because of his bad policies. As I am writing now the church is dead in the rural areas and it only exist in urban and peri urban areas.
Malawi’s population is rural based and Chakwera would not be a suitable leader for the country because he has no regard for rural areas. His feeling about rural population was manifested when he, through his Kusamba Dzonzi, was not happy with government’s initiative for the people of Mzimba to have clean and portable water.

  5. I see conflict of interest here. This Mlakho guy happens to be Chairman for roads Authority according to this nepotistic president and then this chairman is using the same position to campaign for a candidate. Where in the world do such nasty things happen? In Malawi under the wise leadership of Mr Maliseche.

  6. Buluma (Dongolomwa) you are likely to have the same experience Gladys Ganda had in Nsanje Lalanje. Much as your interest to out Chidanti Malunga you should know that MCP is also on the ground and Lower States is in the hands of Sidik Mia. Now Gladys is completely silent.

  7. Another opportunistic clown. Kungoluza DPP muona akukapempha malo ku government of the day. These are the guys that we have allowed to derail our democracy.

  8. Nkhondo dela limeneli ndi yapakati pa DPP ndi MCP not UTM chidanti malunga. Wagwa nayo baasi.

  10. Bwana Mpinganjira, Mr Chenji golo, the recycled politician. Kutha ma pulani kumeneko. Why cant you simply retire from politics. Ndale za masiku ano ndi zachinyamata ndi president wake wachinyamata ngati Rght Hon Chilima or kapena ngati Hon Atupele. Okalamba inu muzingogona mu manyumba Chilima azizakuganizilani ma elderly grants. Mwamva Mr Mpinganjira?

  11. ” veteran ” politician wakuti ? Anali kale ambwana ameneyu , nthawi imeneyo akulanda azimayi kwa azibambo koma lero ndi dobadoba wachabechabe.

  12. JB Mpingani is a spent force, an opportunist who jumps from ship to ship for personal enrichment. (Ife tidzaphanga zimezo!)

    1. Don’t politicise projects as if the money is coming from DPP to r Mutharikas pockets it’s tax payers money anD we know whichever government comes in will continue with the job hence the establishment of the National Planning Committee
Let me add that the DPP government has started too many projects at the expense of other priorities like healthy and education hence the poor classrooms that are collapsing and inadequate funding for hospitals
They want to fool the people where we’re hey with all the bridges and roads all the past five years that’s why it is called a campaign gimmick
You can fool some people sometime but not all the people all the time
