Msowoya hails Chakwera for ‘honouring the north’
Malawi Congress Party (MCP) first vice president and runningmate took time on Friday to tour Rev. Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s constituency, Lilongwe North West asking people to help him express gratitude to the MCP torch bearer in the forthcoming tripartite election for picking him, Richard Msowoya from the north as runningmate.
Msowoya went on to challenge the people that although Malawi has seen fallouts between presidents and their deputies in the last three administrations, he will endeavour to make a difference and if anything happens he should be to blame.
“I pledge my loyalty and support to MCP as a party and Rev. Dr. Chakwera as my president,” said Msowoya.

“I promise to do whatever is in my powers to make this a working combination, we cannot fail and if anything happens please, take a good look at my face and come remind me then of my pledge today,” he said.
In his remarks Msowoya assured the poeple that the MCP leadership under Chakwera is the only administration that is capable of liberating the country from the current economic chaos.
“MCP has shown that it is a national party crossing regional boundaries and picking a runningmate from the north and president from the centre. We have a very capable team of experts which can steer around the economy and bring about economic liberty,” he challenged.
Msowoya asked the people of Kapudzama, Nyanga, Tsokaliyenda village, Kasiya and Tonde to help him, the people of the north and all Malawians in general to thank president Chakwera when he comes back from United States for picking him as runningmate.
