Nomads fan wins K200,000 in TNM Sapota Mapeto Promo
Be Forward Wanderers fan Benson Lifa on Tuesday became the latest football follower to win monthly cash prize of K200,000 in the ongoing TNM Sapota Mapeto Promotion.
Lifa, a police officer based at Mponela in central district of Dowa and second Nomads fan to win the monthly prize since it was launched three months ago, was excited after getting the news that he had won the cash for participating in third edition of the promotion
“Am so happy. The money has just come at a right time as I have several issues needing financial attention,” said Lifa, without divulging how the money would be used.
Other participants won Y221 handsets, Flames replica jerseys and TNM K5000 and K2500 recharge vouchers.
This was the third monthly draw of the promotion which will end in December this year.
However, it is the People’s Team, Big Bullets that have maintained top position as the highest earner in the third draw–covering August 13 to September 12.
Bullets FC have generated K1.479,205 from 42,263 SMSs, while Wanderers have pocketed K796,425 from 22,755 hits to still play second fiddle in the promotion.
Lilongwe giants, Silver Striker came third and got K156,030 from 4458 hit; rookies Dedza Young Soccer have also maintained four position as they have generated K15,960 from 456 SMSs.
Moyale Barracks are fifth having pocketed K10,225 from 295 SMS; Civo K7,770 from 222 hits, Blue Eagles got K4,375 from 152 hits; Epac and Azam Tigers each got K2,275 from 65 hits; Kamuzu Barracks earned K2,415 from 69 hits; Red Lions K1540 from 44 hits, Mafco FC pocketed K1295 from 37 hits; Mzuni FC received K3,080 from 88 hits; Airborne Rangers got K7,070 from 202 hits with FIZD Wizards pocketing K3,885 from 111 hits.
The promotion has accumulatively raised K9,464,070 since it was launched in June this year.
Bullets FC is the team with the most hits (159,487) followed by their rivals Wanderers with 90,280 hits. FIZD Wizards have the lowest hits (284).
During the first and second of months of the promotion, the People’s Team got over K1.47 million and K2.7 million from 39,023 and 78,201 hits, respectively.
While Wanderers pocketed K991,445 and K1,429,295 from 26,688 and 40,837 hits, respectively; the Bankers earned K118,440 and K236,819 from 3,150 and 6,766 hits, respectively.
Going by the hits, Bullets are on course to become first team to hit 300,000 mark whose reward is once-off K1.5 million.
“No team has hit 300,000 mark, meaning the once-off K1.5 million still there. Likewise, two fans who will register the highest SMS entries shall be rewarded with Samsung 40 Inch TVs,” said TNM Public Relations and Sponsorship Manager Limbani Nsapato.
TNM, sponsors of the Super League, rolled out the promotion to give football fans opportunity to generate revenue for their teams.
