Annah Maseko, wife to Lilongwe’s Christ Citadel International Church Pastor Maseko, is the first winner of the newly-launched MultiChoice Malawi ‘DStv Rewards’ promotion.
Maseko emerged winner in the first draw conducted by the company in Blantyre last week and she was presented with the prize, a whooping K1 million cheque during the Zahara concert in Blantyre on Saturday.
MultiChoice Malawi took advantage of the South African Afro-soul singer’s visit to Malawi and made a special arrangement for Zahara to make the presentation in style during the show at Comesa Hall.
In the promotion, the company will be dishing out K1 million every week until May to subscribers who stay connected for a period of 3 months.
“This is a promotion we will be rewarding our loyal customers who will stay connected for three consecutive months,” said MultiChoice Malawi sales and marketing manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda.
The pastor’s wife, who travelled all the way to Blantyre from Lilongwe without an idea of what she had won, as the company did not disclose to her, said she couldn’t believe that she had won such a prize as the cheque was presented to her.
“I didn’t expect this and I didn’t want to come here when they [MultiChoice Malawi] asked me to come to Blantyre. I thought it was a coax because they didn’t want to disclose what it was,” she told Nyasa Times.
“But now I want to say thanks to MultiChoice for introducing such a promotion. I will invest the money into my business,” added Maseko who has been a DStv customer for a period of four years.
DStv Rewards is applicable to all active DStv subscribers on all bouquet options.
