Peter Mulangeni set to launch new album

Gospel music lovers in Lilongwe should brace for maximum entertainment in the Lord as one of the country’s renowned gospel artists, Peter Mulangeni, is set to launch his latest album ‘Ndichisomo’ this Sunday.

The Capital City-based singer, well-known for his masterpiece ‘Wandikweza Yahweh’, will be unveiling the CD at what has become a confluence of all gospel musicians in the capital, the ICA Marquee.

In an interview, Mulangeni promised to dish out the best show to his fans, saying he wants to showcase how matured he has become in his compositions and live performances on stage.

“I am very happy that everything is set for this long-awaited launch,” he said. “I have been rehearsing to make sure that I am well prepared to give out the best performance.”

He appealed the people in Lilongwe to the show come in large numbers and witness the “new phase of Peter Mulangeni”, while assuring the fans that the first hundred people to show up on the day will get free CDs.

“I want to thank the almighty God who has been there through the challenges that I have gone through recording this album as well as during preparations for the launch,” said the singer.

Apart from his fellow gospel singers, such as Thocco Katimba, Lawi, Marvelous Deeds, the Great Angels and Mlaka Maliro, among others, the musician has also invited stand-up comedian of the moment, Mr. Jokes, to grace the show.

Mulangeni said he wanted to make this show very exciting and bring a difference to it, saying “there will be laughing, dancing and singing in the name of Jesus.”

‘Ndichisomo’ is Mulangeni’s fourth album and has twelve tracks, all composed and performed by him.
