Phalombe school and Mbayani health centre benefit from TNM’s Ufulu@50 promo

Communities in Phalombe and Mbayani township community have become the latest beneficiaries of TNM’s life-changing Ufulu@50 Promotion after receiving desks and medical equipment, thanks to TNM customers who won in the promotion.

Phalombe customer Damiano Paulo Banda and Mbayani customer Marble Chanyanya emerged winners in the promotion, respectively, and each chose to use their K2 million for respective CSR projects in their areas.

Paulo Banda chose to donate 60 desks to Naminjiwa Primary School in T/A Kaduya’s area of Phalombe while Chanyanya chose to buy medical equipment comprising 8 mattresses, 6 normal beds and 2 maternity beds to help set up a maternity wing at the clinic in Chirimba-Mbayani area.

The two thanked TNM for the life-changing promotion, which aimed to celebrate the country’s 50 years of independence.

Said Chanyanya; “On behalf of people from this community, let me commend TNM for this initiative which has not only benefit individuals but even the communities. The maternity wing will help cut long distance expectant mothers were travelling to access services at Queen Elizabeth Central hospital.”

For his part, Paulo Banda said he chose to give desks to Naminjiwa Primary school to give pupils a new lease of life and inspire them excel.

“A conducive learning environment is paramount if we are to expect the pupils to produce desirable results in class. With these desks, the children will value education in this area, and I thank TNM for making this possible,” he said.

Group village headman Malingula from T/A Kaduya saluted TNM for the gesture.

“I know my subject Damiano could not have managed to buy this desk without TNM so on behalf of the community, I would like to thank you most sincerely,”he said.
