Professor lauds JB’s Mudzi transformation
Associate Professor of Chancellor College, a constituent college of the University of Malawi , Blessings Chinsinga has backed President Joyce Banda’s Mudzi Transformation Trust, a an initiative which she has undertaken since ascending to power to build houses for the poor people.
Chinsinga said Malawians needed a better housing scheme in the villages for them to contribute towards national development agenda.
“I am privileged to have travelled across Malawi. Most people live in poor houses which can make them not to contribute towards national development,” Chinsinga said in an interview monitored on Zodiak Radio.

“What President Joyce Banda is doing should be commended and any party which can come to power should embrace this initiative for the good of the poor people,” he said.
President Banda launched the Mudzi Transformation Trust just after ascending to power in 2012 two years ago after the death of President Bingu Wa Mutharika in April.
The Mudzi Transformation Trust is a private sector-led initiative to which both local and international private sector are invited to invest in.
Malawi’s first president Hastings Kamuzu Banda proclaimed that poverty was an enemy to the development of human beings.
He cited good housing, food and good clothes as being critical needs of a human being.
