Sankhani Mkandawire makes u-turn, still with Bullets

Big Bullets defence pillar Sankhani Mkandawire has reversed his decision to quit the club and has returned to the champions.

Bullets general secretary, Harold Fote, confirmed that Mkandawire has returned to the People’s Team.

Sankhani announced he had resigned from Bullets but a delegation led by technical director Billy Tewesa convinced the player to change his mind.

“That is now a thing of the past. Sankhani is back with us after ironing out some issues,” he said.

Sankhani has been one of the shinning stars in Bullets and attracted attention of South African clubs. He was invited to Polokwane for trials with National First Division (NFD) side Black Leopards.

Three years ago, Mkandawire also had a stint with Carara Kicks in the South African NFD.
