Silvers’ Nigerian defender attracts interest of Kaizer Chiefs – Reports
Malawian based Nigerian International defender Yinusa Sherrif Olanrewaju is reported to have attracted the interest of South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Kaizer Chiefs.

Chiefs are currently going through a defensive crisis following a lengthy injury list of their defenders that include Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Tsepo Masilela and Lorenzo Girdinho.
Soccer Laduna reported that Chiefs are keeeping an eye on Silver Strikers defender and may enter into negotiations once the January 2018 Transfer window opens.
Sherrif can play both as a centre and right back as well as a defensive midfielder.
He penned a two year deal with Silver which is one of Malawi’s giants clubs in February this year following his successful two weeks trials at the club.
The Nigerian joined the Bankers as a free agent where he replaced captain Lucky Malata who moved to giants Mighty Be Forward Wanderers.
Silver Strikers General Secretary Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda with recommendations from his Technical Panel described Sherrif who has previously played in Ghana, Togo, Benin, Noger and Nepol as a promising star.
