St Columbus church members pay JB courtesy call
Women’s guild members and church elders from St. Columba CCAP Church of the Blantyre Synod visited Her Excellency President Joyce Banda to offer their congratulations for ascending to the top job and pray with her.
The delegation led by Reverend Felix Chingota, the church’s moderator, said they visited their long time faithful to share with her the word of God.
“As church members, we wanted to pray with the President and offer our spiritual support to her,” said Chingota.
“We encouraged her to remain God fearing woman that she has always been and ask God for wisdom to lead the country,” said Chingota.
He hailed the President as a person who has been helping the Church advance God’s work.
President Banda could be seen enjoying the choruses and hymns that members from her church were singing. She could not hide her joy but danced and sang with her fellow Christians.
Banda who is also a member of the women’s guild has always been a God fearing woman who takes pride in sharing the word of God.
She prides herself as God favoured child for her faith in the Lord.
