TalkAWE Limited inviting Malawi Diaspora to invest in a tech driven company
TalkAWE is Malawian registered company which has secured a technical partner from the USA to provide phone services over mobile and fixed phones and SMS messaging using Callthrough Technology.
The Company is inviting interested individuals and corporate bodies in the Diaspora to invest in the setting up of the Communications company which intends to roll out its first services to the public by December of this year.
As the cost of telephone (mobile and fixed line) becomes expensive in Malawi, TalkAWE believes that the Callthrough Voice Calls and SMS business is ripe for the country as it provides cheap Voice and Bulk SMS for customers. The savings compared to the current rates can go as far as 80%.
The objective therefore is to provide cheap and quality voice calls and SMS services.
The Services
Callthrough, also known as Call Direct is a service that uses prepaid cards to make a call from any digital phone by calling an international number at no cost and, by following voice prompts, allows the caller to enter the destination number and complete the call. This service may be available to corporate as well as individuals and the calling card can be used anywhere in the world.
As the cost of making calls becomes more expensive in Malawi as well as spiralling roaming charges, this is the cheapest mode of making calls that will be available to Malawian phone users.
SMS will be provided in two formats, single and Bulk SMS. The single SMS will allow a subscriber to have an unlimited number of SMS’s with a small subscription per week and the Bulk SMS will allow a subscriber to send an unlimited number of SMS’s to many respondents at the click of a button, using a portal to be made available.
Projected Returns
Malawi has around 5 million phone users and the Company projects to capture at least 30% of the market in the first year and up to 50% by 5 years. The projected return on in investment is at least 30% above the current inflation rate in Malawi.

The company is offering up to 500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand) Ordinary Shares by private placement on the market at a price of USD 0.45 per share and is inviting interested organizations and individuals to express their interest to purchase the said shares in multiples of 1,000 shares or request for more information by writing to the address below, indicating how many shares they would be interested in purchasing.
