Tchetha and Chiotcha to exchange punches on March 4

Boxing fans will flock to M1 Centre Point in Lilongwe on March 4 next month to witness a fierce non title bout between Simion “Super Power” Tchetha and Chimwemwe “Chipembere” Chiotcha.

The bout has been organized by Gunde Boxing Promotions with additional funding from New City Phone, Matiya Entertainment and Austo Brake and Clush. Both boxers are in the welterweight category.

The main supporting bout will be between Israel “Money Machine” Kam’mwamba and Yamikani Mkandawire.

In other supporting bouts, Yobe Kamnyunya will be up against Yohane Noel, Yusuf Ali against Ernest Chipanda while Holis Kazembe will showcase his boxing talent against Robert Kachiza.

Speaking to Nyasa Times, Treasurer General of the Malawi Boxing Control Board, Elton Ndojime Mapira, said both Tchetha and Chiotcha are in good shape and boxing fans should expect a thrilling bout at M1 Centre Point on March 4.

“I wish to assure boxing fans from all corners of this country that this will be one of the best boxing bouts Malawi has ever had. These are serious boxers, they are in very good shape and mmmmm this is not a bout for kids my friend,” explained Mapira.

Comedians Ching’aning’ani from Mibawa Television and Giling’ande of “Pamajiga” will also entertain fans on the day.

Everything will start from 1.30 pm and the charges are K3, 500.00 Open Stands and K10, 000.00 VIP Stand.
