TNM holds family fun day
Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) last Saturday hosted a family fun day for its employees and their families under the theme “balancing work and family life”.
According to TNM Human Resources Manager, Michael Butao, the family day concept is designed to help creatr a balance between work and family by creating a large common platform on which the two sides can engage each other.
“As such, families of TNM employees come together at one designated venue in all the major regions of the country and participate in various activities. The highlights of the day are outdoor sports and fun games for both adults and children. There will also be food to share. This concept also aims to harness a culture of healthy living amongst our employees and families,” said Butao.
He also encouraged employees and their families to continue working hard in promoting the TNM brand. The family fun day is conducted according to regions and always starts with Nature Walk–to encourage health living– and ends with the family fun day.
“We are a family of TNM as such annually we want to sit together and have fun with our families who also indirectly play the important role in our day to day operations. We also believe that healthy living is also necessary to any business,” added Butao.
Activities included eating competition, sack race, tag of war, egg race and other board games.
Similar event will be held in Zomba, Lilongwe and in the northern city of Mzuzu.
