TNM pledges support to Malawi club to play in CAF championship
One of Malawi’s leading mobile operator Telecom Networks Malawi (TNM) has pledged support to any Malawian club seeking to participate in the continental Confederation of African Football (CAF) championship after winning the TNM Super League title.
An official from TNM disclosed this following his company’s kind gesture in writing off a K10.3 Million debt obtained by Big Bullets F.C.
In total, Bullets obtained K15 Million from TNM to help in financing its Caf assignments early this year and agreed to pay back through an sms promotion which only raised about K4.7 Million.
Tnm Chief Commercial Officer Dan Makata said TNM being sponsors of the top flight league, will always go by its motto-“Always with you” to support any club that wins the league championship and decide to join Caf competition.
“We will sit down with the team and discuss how best we can assist;” said Makata.
He further assured soccer lovers in the country that his side will always be there to help in developing soccer in the country.
TNM are the official sponsors of Malawi’s top flight league and sponsors the league at a tune of K65 Million.
