Women invade men’s restrooms at WoD awards
Drama ensued at the State House restrooms last Saturday night during Woman of Distinction Award ceremony when the women invaded and occupied the men’s toilets to relieve themselves in full view of dazed and confused menfolk, Nyasa Times exclusively reports.
The episode which resembled in a Mr. Bean film scene occurred while the Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony in the State House Marquee was underway and the women’s toilets were full.
An eyewitness, who saw the unscripted comedy unfolding, said the slapstick comedy started after several women and men made their way to the restroom within the bullding to answer nature call.
But the women who were in much bigger numbers seemed to have full bladders and were impatient to wait a little longer as they felt so uncomfortable to wait for their turn to come as the ladies toilets were chock-a-block occupied, this prompted many other women to queue outside as if waiting to buy fuel.
Raid
Since the male’s toilets appeared to have a few traffic of men going in and out in, two ladies took a bold step to defiantly raid the men’s restrooms – obviously going for a lesser devil – to be seen naked by a man than to pee themselves whilst still waiting in vain to no avail on the queue.
The eyewitness said when two women went into the men’s toilets more women followed and men were left scratching their heads in astonishment wondering as to what was happening.
“The men who were helping themselves in the restrooms had to bundle themselves out of the restrooms wondering what was going on as the women kept flocking in. One man nearly came out his ‘member’ in his hands as he stumbled out,” said an eye witness.
Nyasa Times understands that a few politicians, diplomats and high profile ladies and gentlemen were also seen around the restroom area enjoying the drama.
Understanding
But later on the men clearly understood what was going on and eventually gave way to the panicking women to use the men’s restrooms until the ladies numbers subsided.
Nyasa Times sources say some men were overhead saying: “It is the ladies’ day, so let them take over everything. They deserve the space; we can wait outside here.”
“We must decorate all the women who have raided us as Woman of Distinction their bravery, a woman invading a man’s toilet while men are naked is an act of bravery and valour and they must be recommended. This tells us that this is no longer a man’s world but a human world.” another dazed man is said to have said.
A number of ladies had been enjoying food and helping themselves to drinks of various kinds at the show.
But the incident highlighted the need for adequate restrooms for women at the magnificent multi-roomed State House in events when the numbers of attendees may be higher than expected.
However the State House Marquee has the best facilities best in the country for such events.
The Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony saw 16 finalists in various categories go away with prizes up Two Hundred Thousand Kwacha cash, a return air ticket to Johannesburg and other gifts. Mrs. FelicityMalewezi was the National Woman Achiever while Mama Dr Cecilia Tamanda Kadzamira was honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
