Worship God only
While the Bible plainly tells us what to expect in these times that we are living about false prophets, it is becoming hard for people to differentiate between a real man of God and those that are false prophets. Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 24:5; that “Many shall come in my Name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many”.
In our own capability, without the help of the Holy Spirit, we cannot be able to discern on the things of God. Jesus Christ knew that the powers that will be fighting against us will be very strong, such that He promised not to leave us helpless but come to us through the person of the Holy Spirit (John 14:18).Only the Holy Spirit can help to guide us in the right direction.
With the Spirit of God dwelling in us, there is no way that we can make a preacher or man of God as a replacement to God. We need pastors but they should not be seen as a replacement to God. Their duty is to help us grow in the things of God, and not think that God can only hear their prayers. The power has been given to all of us, and the anointing is on those that avail themselves to the things of God.
Remember that all God requires is a relationship with us, which cannot come by just going to church on a Sunday.
We need to completely surrender our lives to Jesus, and start reading the word of God with understanding. God is not expecting us to be 100 percent perfect just as Jesus gave an example of a parable of the mustard seed, which starts out very small, but it is very powerful as it has the ability to grow an enormous plant. How can we grow, if we are just looking on other people to be praying for us?
The book of Revelation 19:10 talks about a time that John fell to his feet to worship an angel but he was told “See you do it not: I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus: Worship God: For the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophesy”.
This is a clear picture that we do not have to worship anything else other than our God. Let pastors help in leading us to the correct things and not moving us from the right object of our faith which is Christ and Him crucified. If in doubt about the Pastor that you are following, pray to God for guidance. He will guide you with the help of the Holy Spirit.
