Blantyre United hire coach Mpulula as technical director      

Blantyre United have roped in former coach Leo Mpulula for the role of Technical Director as they gear up for a new lease of life back in Malawi’s flagship league.

Chairman Lawson Nakoma said Mpulula had been considered to help the coaching panel.

” Leo Mpulula is an experienced coach whose expertise will be greatly needed,” Nakoma said.

” He is a serious and committed man when it comes to work.”

But it raises more questions than answers why the team decided to offer the disciplinarian a behind the scene role.

Nakoma also disclosed that Mpulula would get down to business on January 31.

” In the mean time we are looking for head coach to work with current coach [Shadreck Mpesi], who now be assistant coach,” he said.

Nakoma is also calling all interested players to come for trials at Escom Ground starting January 31.
