Silver completes signing Nigerian Sheriff: Touted as ‘versatile player’

Silver Strikers have completed a deal to sign talented Nigerian defender Yinusa Sheriff Olanrewaju.

The defender comes very highly-rated and is said to be a perfect replacement of their skipper Lucky Malata who joined Be Forward Wanderers recently.

Silver will be hoping that the addition is a sign of things to come with General Secretary, Thabo Nyirenda, describing the Nigerian as a “versatile player.”

Nyirenda said they have handed the Nigerian a two-year contract but details of the deal have been kept in wraps.

Sheriff said he was delighted to join the bankers as he is banking and finance graduate who has had stints in Benin, Niger, Togo, Ghana and Nepal.

“I have signed for Silver Strikers and am happy to be here. Hard work starts now,” said Sheriff.
