A brace each from Chisomo Ngozanani and Raphael Phiri was enough to hand Civil Sporting the vital three points that have given them a guarantee of top four fininsh.

The Civil Servants now have so far accumulated 48 points from 29 games while fifth placed Mafco F.C who faces Silver Strikers this weekend have bagged in 43 points from the same number of games.

The two also have two matches each remaining to wind up the season.

The win for Civil keeps them on the same position (4) only that they have increased the points gap against fifth placed Mafco, Blue Eagles (6) and Moyale Barracks (7).

However, Masters have put themselves in an awkward position as they are required to win their remaining two fixtures and pray that 13th placed Premier Bet Wizard loses its remaining fixtures for the Central Region debutants to survive relegation.

The ambitious Masters who have registered to participate in the continental CAF Champions League next season are remaining with two crucial assignments against giants Mighty Be Forward Wanderers and
Nyasa Big Bullets who are both vying for championship.

Civil Sporting Club Team Manager Gabriel Chirwa held his charges for producing a gallant fight.

Meanwhile, Civil General Secretary Ronald Chiwaula has described his team’s impressive form to discipline.

“Discipline in paramount in our ca,p and that is what has kept us going,” said Chiwaula.
