Malawi’s Mzava invited to France for Monaco trials

Another window of opportunity for Malawi’s right back defender Limbikani Mzava has opened in France at French giant AS Monaco.

Monaco’s Jean-Luc Buisine, who is responsible for recruitment at the club, said the 18-year-old Malawian will have eleven days to try to impress the club – from April 9 to April 20.

Mzava’s representatives Complete Footballers have devised a strategy to assist Mzava cope with the supposed rigorous evaluation process at Monaco, according to Kick-Off.

Mzava: Monaco calling

“My partner Walter Mokoena is based in France as you know so the player will be in good hands as soon as he arrives there and Walter will look after the player for the duration of the trial so he will have nothing to worry about off-the-field. The intention is to make sure he focuses 100% on the job at hand,” says Claudio Bollo.

Last year Mzava went to Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he passed the trials but his club Celtic failed to agree terms on his transfer.

Mzava has not yet featured for his club since he moved to the rainbow nation because he is not registered.

He is one of the Malawi reliable defenders that even Flames coach Kinnah Phiri opts him for vast experienced Elvis Kafoteka.
