“I can confirm that he has passed on‚” he said.
Burial will be held at St Mary’s cemetery in Zomba. Nasimba was based at St Mary’s location for a long time.
Fare you well Fazala! Mr Nasimba was everybody’s darling, a real football supporter who had passion for the game. During the UFC times, he was the the team’s number one supporter. You could see the divided loyalty when UFC played bullets but we all enjoyed it. A giant now sleeps! May your soul Rest In Peace
RIP COMRADE
He will be missed by soccer fans. The man really enjoyed the beautiful game. mixed well with rival fans. MHSRIP
Rest in eternal peace, never heard him holding grudges with opposition supporters, always cheerful.
MHSRIP YOUR PRESENCE AT KAMUZU STADIUM USED TO BRING FUN.
And then there was aNasimba. Not a football player but a football fan yet just as popular. Everyone who knew Young Chimodzi, Lawrence Waya, Bob Mpinganjira, Sinalo, Holman Malunga and the likes, also knew aNasimba.
He was so passionate about the game but most of all about Malawi, the Flames. Where ever the team went, he was there. He was there in the glory moments of the flames. He was in dark moments of the flames.
He would financially help struggling players.
He would go watch training sessions with the same passion he had at games.
His love for the flames was visible on his face and audible in his voice.
He was an additional flame amongst the flames.
If we lived in a fair society, there would be a stand named after you at Kamuzu stadium. There would be a minute of silence at games in Malawi. There would be a presidential mention and recognition of your patriotic contributions to this country. There would be an official gun salute in honour of your life.
You have gone where most Malawian football legends are.
Rest well you son of Malawi. Rest well you openly fan of the flames. Rest well chief supporter of the Malawi national team. Rest well you patriotic of this failed state of ours. Rest well for your part did and did with undoubted passion and with vigour. Rest well Mr Nasimba, your flame will never be extinguished in our hearts.
Chancellor College. Mulhako wa Alhomwe. Bullets FC. The Flames. Malawi in general. We have lost one committed son of Malawi. Rest well, Mr Nasimba.
RIP Mr Marimba and my condolences to the family
Condolences to the family, MHRIP.
May His Soul Rest In Peace, a man always dedicated to a cause he participated.
Bullets has lost a great player.
KKKKKK. He was not a player, but a soccer fan. The most celebrated soccer fan in Malawi
He was a player. He played a big role at Bullets by supporting the team. Remember we have key players even in politics.
MHSRIEP 🌹🕯️🙏🏾
These are guys who need to be burried with Military honors
Fantastic human being , Raph Nasimba. Apart from his knowledge of football, he was a walking encyclopaedia of Malawi politics. He stayed with MCP, even if Atcheya tried to bring him into UDF during his presidency. He was close to Gwanda, and followed him into the Republican Party when Gwanda realised Tembo’s MCP only wanted people from the centre. He returned to MCP, but gosh, Raphael Nasimba was a good, good man.
As a footnote, Chancellor College has lost really good people. Moffat the Security Officer, Benesi the messenger, Kamtunda the cleaner, Khoriyo the messenger, good people with institutional memory. Mphirimo! Mphirimo! Mudzadutsa Napolo Mphirimo!!!!!
