Irate Bullets fans assault woman for being Gaba’s ‘lover’

A woman was attacked by some irate Big Bullets supporters in Blantyre for telling them that she is dating their red-hot forward Gabadihno Mhango.

The girl Naomi Zimba, 20,  is reportedly to be dating Gaba,  Mhango ,and a thing which angered Bullets fans.

Eye witnesses said at  least 7 men pounced on defenceless woman in  Chilobwe township and then abused her by calling her  “unprintable names.”

They men threatened the woman to stop his love relationship with Gaba or face unspecified  consequences.

Nyasa Times contacted the woman, she confirmed that the men launched a  a terrifying attack on her. But  said she was “tormented” to grant interview.

The Bullets supporters claimed that  women were affecting the form of their players  and would want Gaba to play well on the pitch and not scoring on  women.

Man-of-the-moment

Gabadihno is in Ghana with the Malawi national team. He the current football hero  on the local scene.

He was voted player of the tournament in the just ended President al Cup and was also crowned the Cup’s top scorer.

Before the Flames left for Ghana, Gabadihno was whisked into safety at Limbe Township, as fans couldn’t resist his presence at Limbe market.

Vendors scrambled to see the Big Bullets star with some ladies reported to have asked for his hand in a relationship.

When he visited the home of Big Bullets, Ndirande Township, fans also scrambled to see him.

Bullets without Gaba

Meanwhile his club Bullets will be up north in TNM Super League campaign without their talisman Gabadinho.

Bullets will face Moyale on Saturday and  line up against  Kabwafu FC, the following day.

The ‘people’s team’ will also miss the services of midfield kingpin  Chimango  Kayira and first choice goalkeeper Owen Chaima who are all with the Malawi national football team, the Flames.
