Gaba tells BB fans: Plenty more goals to come in Malawi Super League

Malawi’s red-hot forward Gabadihno Mhango has declared there are plenty more goals to come from him this season.

The Big Bullets diminutive striker said he will come re-energised in the second round of the flagship TNM Super League with more goals.

He is confident his form will continue to improve.

“I know I’ve not scored many goals in the first round of the league, but I hope to score more goals in the second round,” Gaba, who was voted player of the month of August, told Nyasa Times.

“I’m just getting mature now and I love football, so it’s all good and expect more from me,” he added.

Man-of-the-moment: Gabadinho Mhango

Mhango was crowned 2012 Presidential Cup top goal scorer and in his first Standard Bank Cup encounter on Saturday against Epac F.C, he notched his first goal alerting all strikers that he was ready to scoop another golden boot.

“I am so happy being chosen player of the month of August,” said Gaba.

“It is a big honour but credit is shared by my coach, my fellow players and all Bullets fans for their support. Without them I could not have achieved it,” said Mhango.

Second round

Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has announced that the second round of the league is scheduled to kick-off on October, 13, 2012 after the Flames versus Ghana match.

Sulom’s general secretary Williams Banda also said that the transfer window for teams to buy and sell players will be open from September, 28.

Meanwhile, there are already a number of players making moves with Silver Strikers hit-man Tony Chitsulo at Wanderers alongside Azam Tigers duo of Mapopa Msukwa and Mike Kaziputa.
