40 medical students volunteer in flood relief efforts, says Malawi VP
Malawi Vice President Saulos Chilima says government is grateful to all organisations that have rendered help to flood victims.
He was speaking at a news conference on Wednesday to give an update on relief efforts being carried out.
“Focus is now on provision of food, tents, blankets, portable water, medicine and other needs,” he said.
He said revealed that 40 College of Medicine students have volunteered their services to serve in the affected areas.
Chilima says government will publish in the media details of all money, aid and other resources received for transparency and accountability.

@ Kadamanja. Yes he is workinng hard for facilitating. Thats his duty. But he is not using his personal monies. Its government monies. Dont praise him as if he is using his own monies. However he is trying hard to manage his responsibilties in his department. It seems he has ownership. Sure he should not be frustrated. We like these youthful leaders. Enawa angopangira kujaila . Keep it up boy Chilima. Be strategic. I follow your strategies.
Chilima is working hard
