Chilemba knock out Bostic in America
Malawi’s light heavyweight boxer Isaac Chilemba scored a 2nd-round knockout of Brooklyn’s Jameson Bostic in his second American bout at Atlantic City on Saturday October 1
Chilemba‘s litany of punches on Bostic sank him to the corner after a flurry and looked like he wanted none of the ‘Golden Boy’.
The ‘Golden Boy’was making a first fight under the DiBella Entertainment banner. He has been fighting under Golden Gloves promotions in South Africa.
Chilemba, 24, spent the first round boxing against Bostic and finding his range. He had him figured out by the second round and suddenly launched a series of blows, including multiple powerful right hands that backed Bostic into a corner and dropped him to his knees.
Bostic didn’t appear as though he wanted to continue and took the full count from referee at the 1.48 mark while down on one knee, looking at the ring mat.
Chilemba is 11-0-1 since his lone defeat in 2007.
The untelevised action was on the undercard of the tournament in which Sergio Martinez defends his WBC middleweight “diamond” belt against European champion Darren Barker.
