Speaking during a political rally in Karonga that was attended by DPP secretary general Griedezer Jeffrey, vice president of the north Goodall Gondwe, minister of lands Kamlepo Kaluwa, regional governor for the north Christopher Mzomera Ngwira and many DPP MPs as well as senior party members, Mwambande said DPP has lost support in the north.

Mwambande who is also the former deputy minister of mine said the ruling DPP has failed to fulfil its development projects in the region.

For example, Mwambande said government has failed to construct road network projects, rice schemes, health services and education among others.

“That is why we have number of demonstrations here. Don’t think they hate DPP but its failure to bring development projects in the region. But believe me or not, DPP will get many votes in the region,” he said.

Mwambande further  asked businessman Leston Mulli  to conduct  his business in the region.

“We have number of business people in the region. Therefore you need to work hand in hand with them. By doing that we shall persuade many to the party,” he added.

In his response, Mzomera Ngwira while agreeing with Mwambande assured the region for more development projects if they vote for President Peter Mutharika.

  1. So why do you want to give them your votes?for what? DPP and UDF alliance do not deserve your votes . They know how to lie and steal money .Or ata wina mudzaliraso Kut sakukupasani chitukuko.Change is coming with Tonse alliance.Dpp yalanga ana akukaronga ndi quota system.Mufuniranji umboni wina Kuti DPP leaders are visionless. How can a country develop without sending more students to university on merit. What can stop them to punish you again this time around, coz they just did that, when you voted them 2009.They brought quota system. And quota system has done its damage already for ten years. If they left a student with 14 points and they can’t provide loans to poor students. What do you want .Anthu ena sazatheka no matter how many times you votes for them.If you have children and you want your children to have a great future it’s Tonse alliance. If you are unemployed votes Tonse alliance.Tonse alliance Fertilizer will be less than K5000,pa bwinotu apa, pomwe DPP yikugulitsa at K23000. Kuba. Chifukwa sizowona Kut K45000 kungogula 2 bags of fertilizers basi.Ndalama yikumavuta kuyipeza.Bora kugula 10 bags atleast utha kulima 5 acres kusiyana ndi 1 acre.Nayanga vote,
a DPP and UDF alliance simuyiwona.Mitu yawo Mulibe chilichonse chabwino Koma kunama and bribing judges.

  2. Well spoken honourable MP! DPP should forget about getting votes from the North! This party is very tribalistic and regionalistic! They only care for Southerners and hate other regions..

  3. Bola osamagumula zitukuko mukapasidwa kugumula ma office a boma kuotcha ma police station kugumula ma admarc, kugumula zipatala kukumba misewu. Chonde samalani zinthu mukapasidwa osamazibwelesa mbuyo

  4. Then people should vote for just because you wants votes from them?Who do you think you are?Be good to people when you go up to the radar because you need them on your way down.

  5. The most stupid are our north politicians. Now at least this one is saying something after realizing that Peter will not carry the north, Laz will win it. Our north politicians are bootlickers, they can’t even question peter and his dpp gurus thieves why development is stifled in the north. Thyolo / Mulanje have tarmac roads crisscrossing all over their place but where are similar roads in the north.

Money coming for north projects is diverted to the south. Now with 50+1, we will see where you will run. The north holds power now, it will determine who becomes the next president and every year thereafter. In future you will have to chose north running mates which all this time you were claiming as liabilities.

Again, our north politicians are the most stupid and corrupt, completely ignoring the development of their region just for the sake of enriching themselves. Your mouths are shut by money from these Crooked dpp thieves.

  6. I voted for SKC during the May 2019 elections. I had high hopes in him as the one who would propel Malawi into prosperity. Now he has gone to MCP and has left me in the cold. I have no choice but to go back to where I was previously. By default my Vote will automatically go to APM

    1. Very stupid and bad thinker…traitor….reorganize yourself and understand SKC or perish with the sinking and stinking ship, DPP…

    2. Akuluakulu ameneyu bwaanji magaanizo achewo kubwelera m’mbuyo ngati chani kaya hehehe zankhumba 😁

  7. kkkkkkk…Yah vote for us although we have failed to complete these projects during the last five years this time around we promise you we will finish them; just vote for us.
They must be telling uneducated people aku mudzi ndithu coz sangawuze munthu wa nzeru zake wakuti adapita ku school mokwana. Why did you not complete them in the first place? They have the audacity to tell people to be patient, really?

  8. Two days or later timva Kuti awa achotsedwapo pa udindo umenewu kkkkkk chilungamo penapake chimawawa Koma wanenedi zoona tsopano awa omzungulila president kukonda kumunamiza Kuti zilibwino pamene pamafunika kukonza😉😄

  9. Nobody hates DPP. We just can’t stand the failed system. They party fail basic things. We need development, no corruption, no nepotism . Simple

  10. Its tha arrogance of our pple from the north that is making the govt to do so.The atmosphere is so toxic.

I come there their is no govt can invest in such an enviroment and atmosphere

  11. Looks like this ‘fire fighting’ management approach may have come too late for the DPP led government. They seem to be suffering from the ‘NORTHREGIONPHOBIA’ syndrome with an inexplicably intensive abhorrence for the Northern Region. It’s difficult to find a plausible explanation for this terminal ‘phobia’ sickness they have suffered from for as long as they have been in government, save for the first term of Late Bingu Wa Mtharika.
