Big Bullets former executive committee led by Malinda Chinyama and Higger Mkandawire have stepped in to help the club’s former striker Godfrey Masonda who is in urgent need of
Financial support to travel to South Africa for a heart surgery.
According to Mkandawire they are appealing to companies and wellwishers to help raise K2 million that is needed for him to travel to South Africa for treatment.
“The money will go direct to Masonda through the committee which is comprised of me, Mr Chinyama and Lilongwe businessman Kim Kamau,” said Mkandawire.
“We urge well-wishers to come in for our brother to seek for medical help in South Africa. As the former executive committee, Masonda asked us for any help since there is nobody willing to come forward,” said Mkandawire.
“His condition is deteriorating by the day and it is cause for worry.”
Meanwhile, Kamau said he is planning to discuss with Lilongwe teams for a charity match with an aim of finding money for Masonda’s treatment.
Kamau said they are targeting to raise K1 million.
Masonda said his condition is worsening.
