“The money will go direct to Masonda through the committee which is comprised of me, Mr Chinyama and Lilongwe businessman Kim Kamau,” said Mkandawire.

“We urge well-wishers to come in for our brother to seek for medical help in South Africa. As the former executive committee, Masonda asked us for any help since there is nobody willing to come forward,” said Mkandawire.

“His condition is deteriorating by the day and it is cause for worry.”

Meanwhile, Kamau said he is planning to discuss with Lilongwe teams for a charity match with an aim of finding money for Masonda’s treatment.

Kamau said they are targeting to raise K1 million.

Masonda said his condition is worsening.

Those that want to contribute towards the cause can contact Mkandawire on 0995 292 680 or Kamau on 0999 284 016
