Football fan wins K1.5mil in TNM’s Predict & Win promo
One lucky football fan has started off 2017 K1.5 million richer after emerging as overall winner in the recently ended TNM Super League Predict and Win Promotion.
The winner whose number is 0888003890 was not immediately known as his/her mobile number is currently unavailable.
Launched on April 28, 2016, Predict and Win promotion created a platform for the sponsors to actively engage soccer fans throughout the 2016 TNM Super League season.
TNM’s Senior Manager (Public Relations) Akossa Mphepo said the company was happy that the through the promotion, local soccer fans had demonstrated great passion and knowledge of the domestic league.
“As a brand, we introduced Predict & Win promotion to fully engage football fans in the sport with TNM SMS service and let them participate beyond just watching the game. So far, the response has been overwhelming,” said Mphepo.
Mphepo added that TNM has given out cash prizes valued at K4 million to 47 people during the promotion.
“Since we launched this promotion in April, TNM has given out airtime to 320 winners. 47 people have won cash prizes valued K4 million and today, we are giving out the grand prize of K1.5 million to a lucky customer,” she said.
According to Mphepo, the company has registered a total of 384,211 predictions of which 29,815 were correct and qualified for the final draw. This represents a correct prediction rate of 7 percent.
In the Predict & Win promotion, TNM gave out cash to lucky customers ranging from K50,000 weekly to K100, 000 at the end of each month.
To predict, subscribers were required to send an SMS of their prediction to code 1515 before kick-off of a selected game.
In the Sapota Kawawa promotion, participants were required to post images of themselves cheering on their respective clubs on to the TNM TNM’s social media handles and posters of the images that generated the most likes, shares and comments won K2500 worth of airtime every week during the TNM Super League Season
