Billy Phambala: KB coach banned

The coach will also not be allowed to enter the dressing room and to step or sit on the technical area during the entire first round of the 2018-19 TNM Super League first round season

A letter addressed to KB signed by Sulom General Secretary Williams Banda alleges that Phambala ultered abusive words and manhandled female referee Agness Chamaele after the military side had a goal from Kelvin Hanganda disallowed during their match against The Eagles.

The fracas escallated after the game and went beyond the field of play to the dressing room where a dressing room door was damaged.

As a Club, KB has also been fined K500,000.00 for failing to control their official.

KB General Secretary Michael Chemaele confirmed receiving the letter and said they will appoint an interim coach.

The soldiers failed to defend the league championship which they won for the first time ever in 2016.

They finished on position eight with 42 points from 30 matches.
