The Flames will regroup after coming from the Confederation of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) held in South Africa where they won the Silver Plate.

Coach Young Chimodzi said the team would be expected to leave on Friday for Egypt for a friendly game on June 8.

“We are going to camp on Tuesday and expect to leave on Friday for Egypt,” Chimodzi said.

He said all the players who made the Cosafa squad would be maintained.

“We are not going to drop any player from the Cosafa at this point in time because I was impressed with their performance,” he said.

Malawi crashed out of the competition after losing to Mozambique in penalty shoot outs after a two-all draw in open play.

They gave away a 2-1 lead in the dying minutes to be held to a two-all draw.

In the plate competition they beat South Africa 5-4 on penalty shoot outs to reach set up a tie with Zambia.

They capped a brilliant performance with a 1-0 victory against former Africa Cup of Nations champions Zambia in the final to earn a consolation prize money of K2.2 million.
