” The game is over for them. We are celebrating these small vitories (at the courts) for the greater victory that is coming on July 2,” said Chakwera in his speech to an excited crowd at Mzuzu Upper stadium where the Tonse alliance held its first rally.

Meanwhile, the Tonse alliance will this Sunday storm Kamuzu Institute for Sports in Lilongwe for their second rally.

Chakwera paid tribute to his running mate Saulos Chilima of UTM Party , witnesses for UTM and MCP during the elections case, lawyers and the judges for delivering justice to Malawians.

“I thank God for these brave people, including Timothy Mtambo. Now is the time to build Malawi,” said Chakwera.

He urged Malawians to get ready to vote in large numbers on July 2, 2020 and assured people the alliance will potect every vote.

“The battle is not over. Let us all get ready to vote in our large numbers and show DPP red card. People are voluntering to protect your vote,” said Chakwera.

Chakwera then spend much of his speech outlining different plans and projects that the alliance will implement for the North and the whole Malawi immediately after taking over reigns of power.

He desribed the Supreme Court ruling  that upheld the February 3 constitutional court ruling that nullified the 2019 elections a a “technical knock out” for DPP but added that the final blow for the ruling party will come on July 2.

  1. Without a doubt this time. Their only hope of illegally getting in has been curtailed by the Supreme court (registering little milakhos for the vote). Jane Ansah on her own won’t be enough to propel NTCHONA back to power. Dzanja lalemba.

  2. Too early baba..realities of alliances in malawi are seen on the ballot day…reasons being, alliances are not only a plus aspect.alliances do the minus and the divisions..until you have gone through all these, u know.but its not that easy..just do your best to mitigate the minus and division aspect that comes with alliances..

  3. The battle is raging on. Paja inu u alwz upbeat. Kenako mukaluza kuyamba kuphwanya ma bussiness a anthu osalakwa ndi kupha anthu. Dont underate DPP/ UDF alliance. They r still in the race.

  4. Glory be to God Almighty for His constant mercies and righteousness !

Dr. Chakwera, you are a humble servant of God.

Thank you ever so much for accepting to continue to undertake God’s work.
You have fought a great battle to bring about electoral justice in Malawi, and the Tonse Boma Alliance you are spearheading is the only element that will re unite Malawi and take our nation to ‘ Canaan ‘.

May God profusely bless you, and continue protecting you, so that His purpose of taking His children from the traps and snares of the wicked one manifests through you, and other leaders of the alliance.

May God bless Malawi and keep it a land of peace.

    Congratulations !

  5. Malawians should know that voting for DPP is consenting the unconditional lockdown stating from July until further notice. Malawians should be reminded that we are at the mercy of God that he rescued us from the declared lockdown. Kudos to HRDC.

  6. kkkkk kondwerani lero pa 2 july muliranso nyo simunati paja ife tibvimviniza pa ground wosati ku court yayi get ready for another atibera album paja inu nkukhala kwanu

  7. I guess it will be 6-1 goals. Your problem is that you call yourself president while you are fighting against a king on power (APM). Now you behave as if you are already a president. Wait after 2July because now everything is possible

  8. Ankolo, amenewo ndi Maloto a chumba. MCP yapha anthu ochuluka ndipo yachita zonyasa zambiri zimene sizidzathekaso kulowa m’boma. MCP inakhetsa magazi wochuluka ndipo sizidzathekaso kulamulira dziko lino. Chanzeru chomwe mungapange Pano ndi kubwelera ku ntchito ya Mulungu munathawa ija. Palibe munthu amene anapambana atathawa ntchito ya Mulungu.

  9. I was there at the rally, it was an issue based and uplifting speech….exactly what Malawians especially people from the north needed to hear.

Am starting to believe that Chakwera will make a very good president with Chilima cleansing the government of all ghost workers and making sure that every single tambala lost through cashgate is returned to its rightful owners, the taxpayers.

I can smell the onions already for our country….the better days are coming….for how long can Malawians put up with corruption, nepotism, unemployment, low wages, failing hospitals and for how will Malawians be beggars to the outside world as if God created us with a dysfunctional brain?

Zinthu zisinthe we cannot carry on like this…..DPP you were given a chance for 15 years but all have achieved is dividing our country on tribal lines….it’s you time to go on the bench.
