15. Its unfortunate that the minds of so many of us are full of hatred towards each other based on differences in religious beliefs. Christians and Muslims have co-existed in this country for quite some time and people have chosen to be Muslims or Christians without any form of coercion.
    To answer Dr. Odala’s point, please understand that even Christianity was being propagated through wars or ‘Crusades’ in many parts of the world and for a number of years. You can read a lot about these crusades from some history books that are now becoming fewer, because most people do not want to associate their religion with wars. In fact today, Islam remains the only religion which is viewed as one based on extremism and false teachings because it does not control the media and that the media is already awash with propaganda against Islam. But the beauty about both Christianity and Islam is that they are all centred at worshiping one God, that is the creator and sustainer of the world. I therefore could not envisage a meeting between Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to be one with arguments like you and I are putting it today, trying to toy righteousness towards our own religious beliefs. They were all messengers of one God. It is therefore disrespectful to the one GOD if one says bad about this messenger or that messenger, for they were both sent by one GOD.
    Now, calling the President to resign because he was among Muslims or because he urged Muslims to emulate Muhammad is lack of wisdom among us. Jesus Christ or Muhammad never went around preaching evil or doing all the bad things that we are doing today and this shows that the President did not err in calling upon all the Muslims that participated in the parade to emulate Muhammad. I am sure that the president, being a Christian himself, could have urged all Christians to emulate Jesus Christ, if he was speaking to Christians celebrating Christmas.
