Nyasa BB absent coach risk the sack: Ramadan remains in Burundi

It never rains nor pours for troubled Nyasa Big Bullets Coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan with the latest being a tough stand taken by the club’s executive following his unavailability to duty.

Ramadan: Extends holiday

According to the club’s General Secretary, Albert Chigoga, the executive is not happy with Ramadhan’s conduct since going on holiday to his home country Burundi last month.

“We told the Coach to return and report for duty soon after the Wanderers game only to be given more excuses. We knew that he was attending to a sick Father as we were told earlier but still there was no clear information as to when he will return.

“The development raised a lot of eyebrows amongst the executive before pleading with the Coach to report for duty as soon as possible.

“We have been forced to pay huge fines by FAM for using Elia Kananji in Super League matches because he Kananji do not have the required CAF B licence,” said Chigoga.

However, it is understood that the former Flames Caretaker Coach emailed the club that he will only return and report for duties after 28 August, a development which the people’s team General Secretary confirmed.

“Yes we got an email from him (referring to Ramadhan) that he will return on 28 August, 2017. This has not gone well with our executive and have since demanded that he report for duties not later than next week. He is yet to respond to our demand.

“However, the club has already agreed that if he fails to respect our demand, the marriage has to come to end. We cannot tolerate such misconduct. Already we have had several high qualified Coaches within and outside the country who have expressed interest to take over. We have Coaches from as far as Portugal who have expressed an interest,” Chigoga said.

Ramadhan left the country soon after being suspended by the club following a poor run of results which also saw the club exit the Airtel Top 8 cup at a preliminary stage. Without Ramadhan, the club has been able to grind results and currently sit on third position of the ongoing TNM Super league under Kananji’s leadership.
