Nyasa Bullets beat Azam Tigers, thanks to Sulumba: Malawi TNM Super League

The former Blantyre United and Be Forward Wanderers star put Bullets on the lead in the first half in 7th minutes through a powerful header passing Tigers goalkeeper William
Thole after his defenders was caught sleeping when they were waiting for linesman to raise a flag for an offside.

Bullets looked hungry after the goal and made a number of attempts on the goal but lucky was not on their side as they missed a lot of
chances.

Come second half,  Bullets continued with a wave after wave attacking puting Tigers defence on pressure.

In the 80th minutes Sulumba scored his
second goal when receiving a beautiful cross from super substitute Fischer ‘Anong’a’ Kondowe.

In an interview after the match Bullets Team Manager James Chilapondwa thanked his boys for winning the game.

Chilapondwa said though they managed to win the game they are not satisfied because their mission is to go on top of the league.

“It always feels good when yoi collect maximum points and I must congratulate the boys for their spirit more especially Sulumba for returning back with goals,” said Chilapondwa.

Tigers headcoach Patricio Kulemeka accepted the defeated but he blamedlack of cordination as the only problem that forced them to loose the game.

“We accept the defeat but we’ll go to our drawing board and see how we can electify our problems and hopefully next round people will see a changed Tigers with a good quality of play,” said Kulemeka.

Bullets has finished their TNM super league first round on position 3 with 28 points from 15 games while Tigers is on position 11 with 18
points from the same number of games.

The final match for the 2017 TNM super league first round will be played Sunday between Silver Strikers and Beforward Wanderers at Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in Lilongwe.
