Teenager arrested for sexually fondling girl
Police in Dedza are keeping in custody a 19-year-old boy they arrested for allegedly caressing buttocks and fondling private parts of a girl who was taking a bath.
In a story monitored on Radio Islam, Dedza police spokesperson Sergeant Edward Kabango, said the girl [name withheld] had a rude awakening on February 16 when she was having a bath with her friend around 7 o’clock in the evening.
Kabango said this time, the young man Mabvuto Mkwanda who hid in the nearby bush started peeping in the grass thatched bathroom.
To get the full view of the naked adolescents inside the bathroom, Mkwanda came closer and entered his hand through an opening on the bathroom and started caressing the buttocks and private parts of one of the girls.
Kabango said this shocked the girl and screamed which made Mkwanda to flee.
But the girl’s family members followed the footprints of the suspect which led to Mabvuto’s house, where he was apprehended the following day.
Mkwanda confessed his lasciviousness and has since been charged with indecent assault.
